Bafana Bafana Takes a Big Step!  South Africa 3 – 0 Lesotho

South Africa, had a great day. They beat their neighbors, Lesotho, with a strong 3-0 win, in a Group C qualifier played at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Friday evening.  This big victory puts them in a very good position to qualify for the World Cup.

Goal Scorers: Mohau Nkota, one goal from an own goal by the opposing team, and Oswin Appollis.

What it means: Bafana Bafana is now at the top of their group, and they are now one step closer to making it to the 2026 World Cup! While Morocco Becomes the First to Qualify! After they had a fantastic day, scoring five goals to beat Niger. This win makes them the first African team to officially qualify for the 2026 World Cup!

 

 

Looking Ahead to the Next Match

The win against Lesotho was crucial, but their final match against Nigeria will be the ultimate test for qualification. This is the most anticipated match in the group. A win for Bafana Bafana would secure their place in the World Cup, while a win for Nigeria would give them a chance to qualify. A draw would also be a good result for South Africa.
